Fans Are Comparing Thanos To Stone Cold Steve Austin

The debut of a highly anticipated trailer inevitably comes with a wide variety of reactions to it on social media, from joy and excitement to insults and mockery. One of the unexpected responses to the debut of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer across social media is noting the resemblance Thanos has to former WWE wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Thanos first appeared in Marvel’s The Avengers, wearing gold armor and striking fear into the hearts of audiences witnessing him. In the films since, audiences haven’t gotten a full-blown look at the Mad Titan, but each brief glimpse made him appear more intimidating than the last.

With Thanos finally arriving on earth and opts to ditch the cool armor, fans thought less of the cosmic ruler and thought more of Stone Cold headed to the ring to open a can of whoop-ass on Vince McMahon.

Fans will have to wait until May 4, 2018 to see if Thanos can overcome the similarities to the wrestler, or maybe we’ll get to see Thanos deliver a Stone Cold Stunner to Iron Man before cracking open a few cans of beer.
