Six seasons and a…Marvel movie!

Despite poor ratings, the smart, hilarious, and exuberant television sitcom Community was able to scratch out six seasons, five of those airing on NBC and the sixth and apparently final season airing on Yahoo! Screen. That completed half of the “Six seasons and a movie” rallying cry; however, the chances of seeing the other half, a Community feature film, being completed remains slim to none.
Fans can at least take solace in the fact that most of the cast has been able to find work after the show’s demise. Two of them, Danny Pudi and Jim Rash, even made cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe โ Pudi in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Rash in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
That’s thanks to directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who ended up on Marvel’s radar for the episodes of Community they directed, especially Joe’s action-packed and highly-praised paintball episodes: “For A Few Paintballs More” and “A Fistful of Paintballs.”
So, will we see another Community cameo in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War? “We’re literally in that phase of the pre-production where we start thinking about those kinds of things, and right now we’re looking for the right part to see who’s a match for the next cameo,” Joe Russo told Cinema Blend. Is that confirmation of a Community cameo? “Yeah, absolutely,” Joe added. “We’ve got to keep the streak going.”
Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
