While being an Avenger on the big screen is a highly rewarding job, it also features its share of downsides, including the risk of injury.

That’s something Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen is all too familiar with, as she revealed a new bruise she received while on the set of the currently filming Avengers 4. Olsen posted the image of a rather massive bruise on her arm, a bruise she received during a flight stunt. You can see the injury below.
This kind of thing happens a lot when filming movies, especially in the more stunt-heavy blockbuster film genre that superhero movies are now a big part of. When you’re flying all over and dodging trucks and lifting people, you’re bound to absorb some cuts and bruises, but hopefully, the rest of Avengers 4 is a more calm affair for Olsen.
Scarlet Witch looks to be a big part of both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, and that includes a bigger look at her romance with the synthetic being Vision. Photos from the set confirmed that narrative even before the recent Avengers: Infinity War trailer and Olsen addressed that earlier this year.
“In any other world I would say, ‘I don’t know,’ but because there are paparazzi photos that kind of spoil things for fans โ I think it’s safe to say that we now get to explore that part of the comic book,” Olsen explained. “We get to introduce and really explore their relationship. It creates a really exciting arc for me and I’m so lucky I get to work with (Paul) Bettany all the time now.”
Avengers 4 will be the culmination of Marvel’s phase 3 and will feature big shakeups for the MCU going forward for Scarlet Witch, Vision, and the rest of the characters in the universe. Co-director Anthony Russo revealed they aren’t thinking fo what comes after, only what they have in front of them, and that includes who lives and who dies.
“We’re not participating in any thought whatsoever about what happens after these movies,” Russo told Vanity Fair. “So we know who we’re allowed to kill, and that’s about it. I don’t even think Marvel had any ideas about where they would go after [Avengers 3 and 4]. It’s not an end for all of these characters; it’s an end for some of these characters. So some of these characters will go on. So it’s more complicated, that’s why it’s not a clean ending.”
Fans can see the film for themselves when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 lands in theaters on May 3, 2019.
