Benjamin Bratt has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange movie. There was no official casting announcement for Bratt, but his name does appear in the text at the bottom of the Doctor Strange poster released during Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016.
Bratt is best known for his Emmy-awarding winning role as NYPD Detective Rey Curtis on NBC’s long-running drama Law & Order. His film credits include both live-action and voice roles, spanning films including Demolition Man, Blood In Blood Out, Traffic, Piรฑero, Miss Congeniality, Catwoman, Cloud with a Change of Meatballs, La Mission, The Lesser Blessed and Despicable Me 2. He also provided the voice of Zod as Superman in Justice League: Gods and Monsters.

As no casting announcement was made, there is no further information about Bratt’s role in Doctor Strange.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson, who co-wrote the screenplay with C. Robert Cargill and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino will provide the score for the film.
