You just had to pay very close attention.
If you looked extra-close, you may have caught a great nod to the comics in the first 15 minutes of the movie. If you blinked, you would have missed it.
In an early scene, Logan is hanging around a cemetery, waiting to drive the funeral-goers back home. This is where Gabriela first approaches him.
As the camera pans, the audience sees the name of the burial ground where the funeral is taking place – Greenwood Cemetery.
In Marvel comics, Greenwood is a popular location for many of the characters. This is where Sue Storm was buried in the Mark Millar – writer of Logan‘s source material Old Man Logan – run of Fantastic Four.
The cemetery also houses the WWII memorial to Captain America in The Ultimates storyline. Steve Rogers was believed to be dead, and a memorial was erected in his honor. Steve and Bucky Barnes often visit the memorial when they need a private place to chat.

Sure, Logan takes place in Texas and the classic Greenwood Cemetery is in New York, and that could cause some confusion. But Logan is a fairly standalone film, this was just a respectful nod to the comics.
Logan is now playing in theaters.
