When you're an international assassin, you learn to always be on your guard. That said, there are still times things will surprise you, and armed clown soldiers showing up in your hotel room definitely qualifies as one of those scenarios.
In the upcoming Elektra #2, Elektra finds herself having to do what she does best, which is to improvise. In her hands, benign items like coasters and lamps become deadly weapons, and if you are unlucky enough to bring weapons of your own to this fight, be prepared to lose them.
Elektra #2 is written by Matt Owens with art by Juan Cabal. Elizabeth Torque provides the issue's cover, and you can find the official descriptions for the book below. Make sure to check out the exclusive preview in the gallery.
ELEKTRA COMES OUT TO PLAY! ELEKTRA has tried to lie low, but she finds herself in the crosshairs of a dangerous force in Sin City. A string of clues including high tech weaponry, kidnappings and assassins lead her to a game of chance more deadly than she ever expected. Can she outsmart this mastermind…or is she playing right into his hand?
While she's not wearing it in the preview, you might recognize her new look in the comics from the Daredevil Netflix series, which starred Elodie Yung in the role. She'll most likely be back for a Daredevil season 3, but she could also show up in the upcoming Defenders series.
Daredevil will next be seen in The Defenders, which will bring phase one of the Netflix Marvel universe to a close, and will likely set up the next big phase of the universe. In addition to the core four shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist), the universe will also be adding a Punisher series to its schedule, though no release date has been announced.
Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Jessica Jones season 1, Luke Cage season 1, and Iron Fist season 1 are all available on Netflix now. The Defenders series is expected later in the year, and The Punisher does not have a release date yet. Daredevil season 3 is also expected but does not have a time frame currently.
