It's easy to agree that Baby Groot stole the show in Guardians Vol. 2, and one of his best sequences was in the film's opening. That sequence has inspired fans to pair with some of their favorite movie scenes, and the results are epic.
As you know, Baby Groot is seen dancing to Electric Light Orchestra's Mr. Blue Sky as the team takes on the Abilisk in the background, and it's delightful. Fans have now taken that format and applied it to other brutal action sequences like those seen in Kill Bill, John Wick, and the original Spider-Man, which you can see in the video above (via Inverse).
The format has taken off, and more are being created constantly. All you do is take a preferably violent action scene, wait for the calm before things hit the fan, and kick in the oddly comforting Mr. Blue Sky and you've got yourself a perfect homage.
The Kill Bill and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice versions are some of the best, but you can submerse yourself in a variety of options by heading here.
You can find the synopsis for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 below.
