While Marvel’s Cinematic Universe has produced plenty of great collectibles and action figures, including a massive amount for their latest effort Captain America: Civil War, so far the TV universe that they’ve created hasn’t enjoyed the same exposure in the action figure marketplace.

It appears that is starting to change with the latest Hot Toys announcement. The talented figure maker is now creating ultra detailed and articulated figures based on Marvel’s critically acclaimed Netflix Daredevil series, starting with Daredevil himself (played by Charlie Cox) and new season two addition The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). Now fans can reenact the many battles between the two in the well-received second season.
No word yet on price or release date, but as with all their collectible figures, expect an uncanny likeness to the real world stars as well as interchangeable heads and hands, and plenty of accessories. DD will most likely come with his trademark batons while Punisher will probably have a decent variety of firearms.
Hopefully, this is just the start of more Netflix series based collectibles. Fans have been clamoring for more Daredevil related merchandise, and adding an Elektra or a Kingpin (from season one) to the line at some point makes plenty of sense. As for their other shows, a Jessica Jones and Purple Man set needs to happen, and fans would love to have a Luke Cage figure as well. This bodes well for Marvel’s upcoming projects Iron Fist and The Defenders, as it appears we won’t have to wait long for figures based on those series to come to fruition.
