ComicBook.com is excited to unbox the latest Marvel HeroClix set Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders War from WizKids. The set is inspired by the classic Marvel Comics story that saw Loki and Dormammu manipulate the Avengers and Defenders into battling each for possession of the Evil Eye.
Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders War features many characters from both teams involved in the conflict – the Avengers and the Defenders. There’s also several Marvel Knights characters, the street-level characters that inspired the Netflix television version of the Defenders, and Black Panther supporting characters from the world of Wakanda.

WizKids is bringing back the Shifting Focus mechanic, which allows players to swap between several specialized version of a character from turn to turn. There will also be HeroClix 15th Anniversary Throwback figures inspired by the Rookie-Experience-Veteran game design of the earliest HeroClix sets.
The core Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders War set is accompanied by the Avengers/Defenders War: Marvel Knights Fast Force Pack. The set includes figures with unique dials: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and Elektra. The Fast Forces pack is designed for quick and easy team-building to appeal to new players and enrich the experience of veteran players.
Lastly is the Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders War Dice & Token Pack. This HeroClix accessory pack includes s 2 custom dice featuring the Marvel Knights logo and 6 action tokens featuring the Marvel Knights characters Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and Elektra, as well as the Marvel Knights logo on the opposite side.

Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders War goes on sale in comic book and game stores on May 10. Look for Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders Wars release events throughout the week where players can win a Black Panther, Man Without Fear figure.
Marvel HeroClix is a collectible miniatures game built on the Clix system and featuring superhero characters from the Marvel Universe. Players collect figures of their favorite heroes and villains and use them to build forces to pit against one another and fast-paced superhero combat.
