The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. Marvel’s The Inhumans will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.

Aside from Black Bolt, the royal family is also expected to include Medusa, Maximus, Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal, and Triton. At this time, no actors have been cast.

The first two episode of Marvel’s The Inhumans (directed by Roel Reine) will premiere in over 1,000 IMAX theatres across the globe โ€” for a two-week run โ€” starting on September 4, 2017. ABC will then premiere the weekly television series on Tuesday, September 26. Marvel’s Iron Fist showrunner Scott Buck is serving as its showrunner.
