It’s been a good few years for LEGO. The toy company has successfully transitioned into a full-on pop culture juggernaut over the last decade because of its ever-growing licensing agreements. Companies such as Lucasfilm and Marvel continue to adapt their iconic franchise into various LEGO kits, and it seems like a few new superheroes are about to get the LEGO minifigure treatment.

Not long ago, LEGO confirmed they would be rolling out three new Marvel Super Heroes sets next year. The first is called “Captain America Jet Pursuit” and features the patriotic Avenger and his custom red-white-and-blue jet. The hero’s set will include a minifig of Super-Adaptoid, a relic villain from Marvel’s earlier years. Captain America will be aided on his mission to capture Super-Adaptoid by Ms. Marvel herself. Kamala Khan will come complete with stretchy arms and expandable fists, so the teen hero will definitely have the power to crush the baddie.

Agent Phil Coulson will also get his LEGO minifig debut in the set, “Detroit Steel Strikes.” The character has appeared numerous times in the LEGO Marvel video games, so it is about time fans got a real-life version of the figure. His kit will also come with Lola, his beloved red hot rod. Minifigs of Tony Stark’s Iron Man and Justin Hammer will also be included in the kit.

The third set is one which fans were first shown this summer at San Diego Comic Con. It is called “Hulk vs. Red Hulk” and features the titular characters. The kit will also give fans their first She-Hulk minifigs with both the green and red heroine. The set will also come with pieces to build large battle buggies which the heroes can sit and battle in.

So far, these three sets are expected to hit shelves sometime next spring. Fans will be able to buy the kits in January, and retail prices for the sets will be announced soon.

What do you think? Are any of you LEGO fans going to invest in any of these Marvel sets? Let us know in the comments below!
