Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to give the web-slinger his first full-length film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And with a whole slew of characters in tow, there’s no telling what stories the subsequent Spider-Man sequels could tell.

But one Homecoming star, Laura Harrier, hopes that her character will adapt her superhero persona in later films.

While speaking with ScreenRant, Harrier revealed her desire to have her character, Liz Allan, officially become the superhero Firestar.

“I hope Liz gets powers, because that’s what happens in the comics.” Harrier explained. “She becomes like Firestar, and she can like light things on fire.”

The first version of Firestar, Angelica Jones, entered the Marvel canon in 1981’s Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends animated series. But the Ultimate Marvel universe gave Liz the mantle, having her mutant fire powers reveal themselves after an awkward encounter with Johnny Storm. She went on to embrace her powers, eventually joining the X-Men under the Firestar codename.

It’s unclear how Liz’s powers would manifest themselves with Harrier’s MCU portrayal, mainly because the film rights for both the Fantastic Four and the X-Men are owned by 20th Century Fox. But given Harrier’s excitement towards portraying that side of her character, here’s hoping it’ll happen in a Homecoming sequel.

You can find the official synopsis for Homecoming below, which has a 4.13 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings.
