Spider-Man: Homecoming has been in theaters for less than a week, but that’s not stopping fans from asking “what’s next?”

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ collaboration to bring the Webslinger into the MCU includes appearances in their crossover movies like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, but they’ve already confirmed there’re plans for a sequel to this new movie.

But with the Avengers big battle with Thanos looming in the future, Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts wouldn’t say too much about his plans to return though he did remain optimistic.

“For me it’s just one movie at a time,” Watts said to EW. “I can’t wait to see Infinity War because I know what they’re doing but I don’t know all the specifics but I feel like with Tom [Holland] as Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe we’re just scratching the surface of what we can do.”

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has previously said that Homecoming‘s sequel will spin out of whatever happens in Avengers: Infinity War and it’s as-of-yet untitled sequel, much like this movie spun out of Civil War.

But the Marvel Cinematic Universe will likely look a lot different when the dust settles from those two movies, so it’s anyone’s guess what a sequel to Homecoming would actually consist of.

The post-credits scene gave a decent indication that Mac Gargan would return and have a bone to pick with Spider-Man โ€” in the comics, that character becomes the Scorpion (and, later on, Venom, but let’s not go there again).

Will Vulture be back? Will he team up with the Scorpion? What about the Sinister Six? AND WHAT ABOUT AUNT MAY!?

So many questions! While we will have to wait a while before we get our next Spidey fix, we’ll be able to get a taste of the character when Tom Holland reprises the role for Avengers: Infinity War, due in theaters May 4, 2018.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is now playing.
