The extended preview introduces audiences to Blink (Jamie Chung) as she tries to evade authorities. Blink, who has escaped from the Mutant Detention Center, joins up with Polaris, Thunderbird and Eclipse who are also mutants trying to avoid capture and find sanctuary. You can watch the six-minute clip above.
In The Gifted, Reed (Stephen Moyer) and Caitlin Strucker’s (Amy Acker) lives are turned upside down when their children, Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) develop mutant powers — and complicating matters is the fact that Reed Strucker’s job is to put mutants in jail since having mutant abilities is a crime.
While the Strucker family is absent in the footage, this look at the series does a good job of setting up just how bleak things are for mutants in this post X-Men world and gives audiences a look at the unlikely mutant allies the family will make in their quest to stay together and stay free.
