Over the years, a slew of actors have donned the tight and iconic suit belonging to Spider-Man. The sleek red-and-black number has been sported by the likes of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in recent years, but Tom Holland is the latest actor to slip into the spandex. The actor, who made his superhero debut in Captain America: Civil War, will reprise his role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming come July.

And, now, Holland is making it clear that his iteration of Spider-Man could kick all the others to the curb.
Recently, Holland sat down for an interview with Short List Magazine, and he was asked if his Spider-Man could take on those created by Maguire and Garfield. Here’s what Holland had to say: “Me. Absolutely. Hands down.”
Well, there you have it.
Of course, the other two actors might want a say in the action. While Maguire seems more removed from his vigilante days, Garfield has commented on Holland’s inheritance of the role. After the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming came out, the older actor told ET that he thought it was great.
“I watched it!” Garfield said. “It’s great! I think it looks great. I’m really excited to see it, I can’t wait. I’m a big fan of Tom and that character, so I’m just really excited to see it.”
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine โ distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man โ but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The cast features Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, Hannibal Buress, and Jacob Batalon.
The film is being directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car), based on a screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley (Vacation reboot) and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.
