In addition to the awesome fight scenes, hard dialogue, and the introduction of X-23′ claws, the new trailer left everyone with a ton of questions.

In one scene of the trailer, a question spurred in the minds of fans regarding the fate of another character. When Logan was flipping through X-23’s comics, he told her the events in the X-Men books weren’t exactly how things really happened. At that moment, the comic frame shown in the book saw Wolverine trying to keep Rogue from falling off a cliff.

It makes you wonder, will Rogue have some kind of appearance in Logan?

The two characters had a very close relationship in the original X-Men films, as Rogue often looked at Logan as an older brother/father figure. If Rogue were to have died before the events of the new film, it would surely affect Logan’s psyche going forward. Losing Rogue would send him over the edge, producing the hardened character we’ve all been preparing to see.

It’s likely that Rogue has died by this point, but it doesn’t mean she has completely left Logan. He’s had a history of being haunted by his dreams.

If Rogue appears in Logan, it will probably be in a flashback/dream sequence involving the title character. Seeing Rogue would help to get the audience a little more emotional, and it would give Logan another motivation that could resonate with viewers.

If we’re being honest though, the chances of Rogue appearing are pretty slim. The story is about Logan’s relationships with X-23 and Charles, and the addition of other X-Men would only take away from that.
