Peter has clearly had an unspoken thing for Gamora since their first meeting on Xandar. Perhaps it was the fact that she was able to take him in a one on one fight, something the Star-Lord is not typically accustomed to, or maybe it’s just the fact that she continuously rejects his pelvic sorcery which is something else he is also not accustomed to.

Gamora just won’t give in to the relentless flirty efforts from Peter.

If you ask Gamora actress Zoe Saldana, which ComicBook.com did during an exclusive interview at a press event for the upcoming sequel, she will tell you that it’s an internal issue with Gamora which prevents her from getting too close to her human companion.

“I think because she still is having a hard time channeling her emotions and talking about her feelings,” Saldana said. “She only does it after Peter insistently inspires her to open up!’

Quill will look to score himself a dance with the daughter of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 but learned in his first outing with the misfit band of heroes that this green gal is stronger willed than most he encounters. Perhaps the tunes on Awesome Mix Vol. 2 will put her into a rhythm which can help get those hips swinging!
