As excited as we all are to finally see Thanos get off his lazy, purple bum off his floating throne and retrieve all of the Infinity Stones, place them on his Gauntlet, and wreak death and destruction upon the universe, it will be even more exciting to see superheroes from across the MCU encounter each other for the first time.

Just last night, Zoe Saldana confirmed to that her character Gamora (as well the rest of her team of misfits) will appear in Avengers: Infinity War. While she isn’t looking forward to going through the grueling 5-hour process of becoming the green-skinned assassin and hasn’t read the script (penned by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely) yet, she feels happy and lucky to be included in third installment in the superhero team-up franchise.

“I’m curious to see how they are going to portray us,” Saldana told IGN. “But the good thing that keeps me relaxed is that these directors [Anthony and Joe Russo] are good. They have a really good pedigree. Their last movie [Captain America: Civil War] was… I liked it. I liked their choices. And everyone that worked with them really had a great experience. And James Gunn is a producer on it, so I know he won’t ever let the integrity of what he’s created for the Guardians ever become compromised. So I’m at ease. Plus, I love Marvel producers; they’re all great; they all want us to win.”
