Ford has filed a patent for a car that would feature a self-balancing electric unicycle.

The design is similar to the Batpod used by Batman in The Dark Knight, except with only one wheel. So the next time your car breaks down, you could feel like Batman, if Batman rode a unicycle.
The wheel of the vehicle would detach, allowing for the seat, battery, handlebars, and upper section usually stored in the vehicle’s trunk to be attacked. There’s also a built in jack to make getting the wheel off of the vehicle that much easier.
Of course, this idea is a long way from consumer release. While the patent is filed, there’s no indication that Ford even has a prototype yet. This just means that nobody else will get to create a unicycle Batpod first.
