Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be an interesting step for the Star Wars franchise. It's the first time a Star Wars film will step outside of it episodic story telling on the big screen and many of us are wondering how exactly Disney can help it match the success of Episode VII.

How about this: Darth Vader.

A new rumor, brought about by Making Star Wars, claims that the most iconic villain in cinematic history will be brought back to the franchise for the spinoff. The rumor states that Darth Vader's costume and helmet have been masterfully recreated by Brian Muir and his team, describing it as "perfectly" matching Vader's A New Hope look.

It doesn't stop there. Word is James Earl Jones will be returning to voice Darth Vader, though we don't know if his lines have already been recorded or will be added in post. However, inside the suit will be a brand new actor.

Not much in terms of how much Vader will be featured in the film, but the rumor suggests, he'll be a "prominent player in a few scenes a something to fear for the heroes."

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16, 2016.
