The rule of thumb when making a sequel is add more of whatever works, and in the case of Kung Fu Panda 3 we’ll be getting, more pandas!
USA Today has a sneak peek of the DreamWorks’ upcoming animated film. In the first two films, Po has been under the belief thas he is the last of his kind, but in the third film he will come across a “secret panda village.” He’ll rejoice as he finally gets to hang out with his own kind.

Mr. Ping is Po’s adoptive father, but in the sequel we’ll meet his biological father Li, voiced by Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston. He’ll bring “Po back to an enclave where the pandas have been living since a fierce panda attack.”
Also found in the village: an overeager, amorous young female panda Mei Mei (Rebel Wilson), a wannabe ribbon dancer. This does not turn out to be a panda love story.
“Po’s a little freaked out, since he’s never been around a female of his own species,” star Jack Black said. “I don’t think he has game in that realm yet.”
Kung Fu Panda 3 will be released in theaters on January 29, 2016.
