Filming on Marvel Studios' Ant-Man just began yesterday, and now USA Today has our first photo of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang.
Lang doesn't look particularly heroic in the photo, which shows him unshaven by a dingy van. The film is shooting in San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen in the background.
In the film, Lang is an ex-convict, rough look seems fitting. The film will see Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) become Lang's mentor, leading him down the path of a hero. Of course, things get ugly when one of Pym's employees, Darren Cross (Corey Stoll), becomes the villainous Yellowjacket.
Ant-Man will eventually shift shooting locations from San Francisco to Atlanta. The film will be released in theaters July 17, 2015.
