Traitor of Mars brings back original Starship Troopers actors Casper Van Dien and Dina Meyer as the voices of their characters Johnny Rico and Dizzy Flores. As you can see in the video, Rico has seen some hard days of fighting since his time as a new recruit, and is now in the position of teaching a new crop of soldiers who view Rico much like he once viewed his mentor, Lt. Jean Rasczak.
In this first clip, we get quick personality intros to Rico’s recruits as they head out on a mission to battle the bugs. The mission goes F.U.B.A.R. rather quick, as things get bloody for the team of inexperienced soldiers. (Luckily, it’s all just a virtual simulation.)

The home entertainment release of STARSHIP TROOPERS: TRAITOR OF MARS includes the featurette “Expanding the Universe,” offering fans a comprehensive look at the making of the new Starship Troopers, interviews with star Casper Van Dien and screenwriter Ed Neumeier, and reflections from cast and crew on the legacy of the original film. Additional bonus materials include a deleted scene and photo gallery.

Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars has a run time of approximately 88 minutes and is rated R for some sci-fi violence and language. In theatres one-night-only on August 21st. The film will be available on digital August 22nd, and on Blu-ray September 19th.
