Variety reports that Alex Meraz has joined the Suicide Squad cast. He is best known for playing 'Paul Lahote' in the Twilight saga. There were no details regarding his role in the film.
How To Get Away With Murder star Viola Davis was spotted in Toronto, near the set of Suicide Squad showing off her new Amanda "The Wall" Waller hairstyle. Not a flashy look, but then again it fits Waller's tough as nails persona.
Also spotted nearby, was veteran actor David Harbour, who you may know from HBO's Newsroom or the guy Johnny Depp threatens in the recently released Black Mass trailer. No word on who he is playing Suicide Squad, but since we know Viola Davis was in the area we can assume he is part of her government agency running the team of villains-turned-heroes.
Suicide Squad cast includes Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. Viola Davis will play Amanda Waller.
Suicide Squad is due in theaters August 5, 2016.
