Paramount Pictures has cast Brian Tee as Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, according to Variety.
Shredder, the leader of the Foot Clan, is and has always been the main antagonist of the Turtles. He appeared and was the main villain in the 2014 film. His look was dramatically changed for the film as he wore a high-tech samurai suit with retractable blades.
Brian Tee is replacing Tohoru Masamune, who played the villain in the 2014 movie. Tee has roles in upcoming projects, like NBC's Love Is a 4 Letter Word and Universal's Jurassic World. You may know him best for his role in James Mangold's The Wolverine or Liu Kang in the YouTube series Mortal Kombat Legacy.
The TMNT 2 cast now includes: Megan Fox (April O’Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), Stephen Amell (Casey Jones), Tyler Perry (Baxter Stockman) and Tee as Shredder.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will arrive in theaters June 3, 2016. David Green is directing from a script by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec.
