Bryan Cranston Would Reprise Walter White Role

It's been awhile since Breaking Bad fans have heard about Walter White. The fan-favorite character acted as the show's lead, and Bryan Cranston brought the controversial character to life with award-winning style. When Breaking Bad finally came to an end, fans were conflicted over White's final moments. When AMC green-lit a prequel to the hit series, fans had hoped the drug dealer would make a return, but Cranston has been notably absent from Better Call Saul.

Still, fans should have hope. It looks like Cranston would reprise his Breaking Bad role if he were asked.

Recently, the actor spoke with Moviefone about his upcoming projects and was asked about reprising White for Better Call Saul. Surprisingly, Cranston seemed more than game for the idea. When asked if the Breaking Bad character could return, the actor had this to say:

"I don't know. You could. I actually think it'd be fun. I have not been approached by it. I know that Vince [Gilligan] wouldn't do anything that would damage the overall brand that he's worked so hard to develop on a stunt-cast kind of thing. Then I think, "Well, what if it's just a brush-by? If it's just two guys in a market. Are those ripe? I don't know." We don't even register that we knew each other three years before we see each other again. That's life."

Cranston continued, saying, "It's actually very honest. It happens. So the bottom line is, I would do it in a second. If Vince wanted me to be on the show, I'd be on the show."

Of course, White's return would have to be through a prequel storyline as fans know what happened to the character at Breaking Bad's end. The lead was left to bleed to death after being shot in a meth lab, presumably leaving White dead. Still, there is some wiggle room for the character to come back from the grave. Cranston has before teased the possibility of White having survived the shootout. Talking to CNN, the actor said, "Hey, you never saw bags zip up or anything. Or say ... you know."
