Lego megafans take pride in their customs and this is no exception.

Over at Gizmodo, you can read a feature on such fans Jarren Harkema and Calvin Hartley, who built an impressive 3-foot long, 28-pound, 10,000-brick Sandcrawler replica.

The duo studied Star Wars: A New Hope and was able to get an idea on the blueprint of such a Lego Technic behemoth. The two met a Lego robotics club and have been friends ever since. They spent over 500 hours creating the colossal vehicle, and recently revealed it at Chicago's Brickworld, one of the biggest Lego conventions in the country. They also received a nomination for "Best Mechanical Creation." Check it out in action in the video below.

If you don't feel like going all out like those two have, you can always purchase a Sandcrawler Lego kit that should take you a third of the time to complete.
