Comic Book Men

As Stan Lee visits the Secret Stash on tonight's midseason finale of Comic Book Men, it will be the last time that the show airs on Sunday night. Never fear though, Comic Book Men isn't being canceled. It's simple moving to a new night to anchor a block of unscripted programming on AMC. When Comic Book Men returns in February, the series will start airing on Thursday nights on AMC. The ninth episode of Comic Book Men Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, February 14 at 9 PM ET, and all the remaining episodes of Comic Book Season 2 will air in that time slot. While Comic Book Men will be losing the great lead-in that the series has with The Walking Dead on Sunday nights, the move shows that AMC has enough confidence in Comic Book Men that it feels the series can serve as a lead-in to other shows. After Comic Book Men, AMC will air Freakshow and Immortalized, which are two brand new unscripted series. The second seasons of unscripted series The Pitch and Small Town Security as well the new series Road Show (working title) will also air on Thursdays later in 2013. "With an expanding slate of unscripted series, it makes perfect sense for us to create and build a new night for these great stories, in the same way we have made Sundays a true destination for our award-winning original dramas," said Joel Stillerman, who is AMC's EVP of original programming, production and digital content. "We are excited to have Thursday night as the new home for unscripted on AMC, as we continue to showcase distinct storytelling that explores authentic characters and original worlds."
