Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's San Andreas Passes $400M At Global Box Office

With how well Inside Out and Jurassic World did this weekend news of San Andreas passing $400M at the worldwide box office almost slipped through the cracks.

The disaster film, which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, add $18.8M from international ticket sales this weekend, pushing its global total to $414.2M. That figures still has plenty of room for improvement as it hasn't opened in Japan, Spain or South Africa yet.

Stateside, San Andreas has grossed $132.2M and $92.5M of its $282M international total is from China alone. That makes San Andreas 4th highest-grosser in The Red Dragon.

After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning. And when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.
