This week gave Zenescope Comics fans their first look at Grimm Fairy Tales #100 and the forthcoming Realm War event series spinning out of the events of that book.

You can see some of the pages, as well as quotes from creators and executives involved with the production, below.

"It's hard for me to believe we are getting ready to publish our 100th issue of Grimm Fairy Tales," said Joe Brusha, Zenescope co-founder and co-writer of Grimm Fairy Tales #100. "It seems like not that long ago we publishing issue #1 and then trying to figure out how we were going to find enough fairy tales to make it to issue #25. It's been a blast writing and planning the series and seeing how it has evolved over the last eight years. As excited as I am to be publishing issue #100, I'm even more excited for the direction the series is going to take in #101. It's going to be a great jumping on point for new readers and I think current fans are going to love it even more. The best way to describe I can describe it is Harry Potter meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

"This is a series that fans can't afford to miss," Brusha added. "Not only is it the culmination of the Age of Darkness storyline, but the fate of all the characters in the Grimm Universe is at stake and no one is safe. There will be a lot of twists and turns before the end and not everyone is going to survive the series. It's going to be an exciting and surprising ride."

"Realm War is a must read for fans who've been enjoying all of the Age of Darkness releases," said co-creator Ralph Tedesco. "Grimm #100 ends on such a great cliffhanger, you'll definitely want to know where it goes from there and how the Age of Darkness story will end!"
