Guardians Of The Galaxy Passes $500 Million At Worldwide Box Office

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has grossed over $500 million at the worldwide box office.

The number puts Guardians of the Galaxy in the top 10 highest grossing films of the year worldwide, passing Rio 2 to take the number nine spot.

Guardians of the Galaxy‘s earnings have been split pretty evenly between domestic and foreign markets. Domestically, the film has grossed $255 million domestically, and $245 million in foreign markets.

With a production budget of $170 million, Guardians is definitely a winner for Marvel and Disney. A sequel is already in the works, with an expected release date of July 28, 2017.
