Harry Potter's Emma Watson Looks to Play Cinderella for Thor Director

Harry Potter

and The Perks of Being a Wallflower star Emma Watson is reportedly in talks to play Cinderella in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the fairy tale by Thor director Kenneth Branagh, Variety reports.

They describe the negotiation, which would see Watson star oppposite Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother, as in the very early stages, so certainly nothing is guaranteed.

At least three other actresses have been considered for the role, but that shouldn't make Watson feel any less special; it's also the second time she's considered playing Cinderella. Presumably the shoe didn't fit last time.

Watson co-starred with Branagh in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
