The touch of J.J. Abrams knows no limits. Having developed several sci-fi shows such as Alias and Fringe, as well as having commercial and critical success with the latest two Star Trek films, Abrams now turns to another corner of the sci-fi/pop culture universe. Rod Serling, famous for creating the iconic series The Twilight Zone, will see his final screenplay come to light. Abrams and his production company Bad Robot have obtained the rights to create a project for TV based on the script, entitled "The Stops Along the Way." The script was finished in 1975, just a few months before Serling's death due to complications from a heart attack and open-heart surgery. No details have emerged about the story's plot or direction at this point, not surprising given Abrams' secretive nature on many projects. Abrams has a knack for his subject matter, and Serling is considered a genius in scriptwriting and screenplays, with many episodes of The Twilight Zone considered classic television in any genre. The potential with the meeting of  these two minds could be quite exciting!
