Kermit The Frog Wants To Join Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

A certain green-skinned character wants to join S.H.I.E.L.D…and it's not who you'd think.

Kermit the Frog, from the Muppets, has submitted himself as a candidate for the Marvel Universe's top spy organization. Hey, if S.H.I.E.L.D. accepts gods, aliens, and Inhumans, surely they'd let a frog join their ranks.

Kermit made his super spy desires known while at the Television Critics Association Press Tour this week, where he bumped into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'S Ming-Na Wen, who plays Agent Melinda May on the ABC show. After Wen posed with Kermit and expressed on Twitter how excited she was to meet him, Kermit said that he's only a phone call away if S.H.I.E.L.D. needs a much smaller green agent.

But the closest Kermit will probably get to S.H.I.E.L.D. is through ABC, which airs both the Marvel Comics series and the upcoming Muppets show. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s third season premieres September 29 at 9:00, and The Muppets premieres September 22 at 8:00.
