Avengers: Age of Ultron might switch The Vision's lineage from Ultron to The Hulk.

The news comes from Red Carpet Refs, who picked up an interview between SlashFilm and Bruce Banner actor Mark Ruffalo earlier today. When the website asked Ruffalo what his thoughts on the Vision were, the actor may have shared just a bit too much.

"He is so dope. And he's my baby. Yeah, he's pretty incredible," Ruffalo told SlashFilm.

If people are to take that second sentence literally, then Bruce Banner may be The Vision's daddy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Vision's Silver Age comics origin, he was created by Ultron to destroy the Avengers before forsaking his creator and becoming a hero.

Many had speculated that Avengers: Age of Ultron would follow  a similar track for the character. Another popular rumor was that Tony Stark, who creates Ultron in the film, would also make The Vision. This stems from Paul Bettany's casting as the android hero. Bettany has voiced Tony's artificial intelligence system, Jarvis, in The Avengers and all three Iron Man films, creating some sort of link.

The Vision debuts on May 1st, 2015, when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters.
