In late November, Warner Bros. put out a Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice sneak peek during Gotham's midseason finale, and now they've released an official still of its climactic shot.

In the sequence, Knightmare Batman is chained up along with a couple other people in some type of underground bunker. There is a hallway full of soldiers, and Superman drops down from an opening at the top of the bunker. He lands with a thud, sending dust flying up into the air.

The soldiers kneel before Superman. With an angry, disgusted look on his face, Superman walks up to Batman, who looks genuinely afraid. Superman sneers and reaches forward and pulls off Batman's cowl. As a frightened Bruce Wayne stares ahead, Superman turns and glares at the cowl he is now holding in his hand.

Check out the image below of Superman holding out Batman's empty cowl, which was accompanied with the caption: "The bat is dead. Bury it."
