There are no breaks in the zombie apocalypse, especially for Rick Grimes and his crew.

While it seemed that Gareth would serve as Season Five's primary tormentor, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman is saying that the Terminus leader is only the start of Rick's ever-accumulating problems.

In an interview with "Entertainment Weekly," Kirkman teased that numerous threats that await the show's heroes.

"I would say without a doubt that Gareth is far from the only threat, quite possibly far from the biggest threat, and there's quite a bit on the horizon," Kirkman told "EW." "I would just say more than any other season, we hit the ground running, and there's quite a bit going on with all of these characters."

While Kirkman did not say where that threat would come from, he gave fans a good place to look. He slipped that Season Five will adapt the comics storyline that immediately followed the prison exodus. What's more, Kirkman added that Season 5 is the closest that show has ever followed the comic books.

Between Gareth, a pack of potential cannibals, zombies, and now, an entirely new danger, busy times are ahead for "The Walking Dead."
