In an appearance at the Toronto Fan Expo, Stan Lee revealed some disappointing news to fans of his cameos in Marvel movies. While Stan Lee had suggested at a previous appearance that he might do an X-Men: Days Of Future Cast cameo, things didn't work out in his schedule. Stan Lee said, "I have bad news for you. I was supposed to be in Montreal today, doing the cameo for X-men…the new X-Men movie. But I said, 'No, I'm going to visit my friends in Toronto instead.'" And as previously reported on Comicbook.com, Stan Lee also explained why he wasn't in The Wolverine. Stan Lee said, "And I wasn't in Wolverine, because they shot that in Australia, and it was too far for me to swim. In most of the others, I'll be popping up." As far as if he had any idea that the movies based on the characters he helped to create would become so big, Stan Lee said, "If I had known it would be that big, I would have become an actor. I want to be Robert Downey."
