Warpath X-Men Days of Future Past

Empire Magazine continues to reveal 25 different covers, each featuring a character from the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past. The latest cover to be revealed features Booboo Stewart as Warpath. In the comics, Warpath is the brother of Thunderbird, one of the earliest X-Men and one of the first to die in battle. Like his brother, he possesses superhuman strength and speed. Warpath originally blamed the X-Men for his brother's death and joined the Hellions, hoping for a chance to get revenge. He eventually reconsidered his stance, joining X-Force and, eventually, the X-Men as one of their most stalwart members. He made his first appearance in New Mutants #16 (1984) and was created by Chris Claremont and Sal Buscema. In X-Men: Days of Future Past, the ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods.  The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future. X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released in movie theaters May 23, 2014.
