Power Rangers fans seemed to respond well to the recent reboot, but how did the original Mighty Morphin Rangers feel about it?

The question was posed to Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger Karan Ashley, who spoke to AiPT! about her reactions to the recent reimagining of the popular franchise.
“I liked it a lot. They changed quite a few things but overall, it was great. My favorite character was Billy and I just fell in love with the new cast. They did an exceptional job.”
While she loved what Saban and Lionsgate did with the property, she was a little bummed that more Rangers weren’t featured.
“I do wish they would have invited all of us for cameos but seeing Amy and Jason there was great. I did wish the whole team would have done the traditional “It’s Morphin Time” moment.”
Ashley isn’t the only one who wants to see that. When ComicBook.com caught up with Becky G, she revealed that she wants a crack at that in the sequel.
“I think it’d be really cool if at some point, or even just the bonus features of like a next film or something, to do the call out to like the original intro of the TV show. And when everyone calls out their Zord, I feel like it’d be so cool if I could literally do my pose and then scream out Sabertooth tiger. Like that’d be amazing.”
A sequel for the reboot hasn’t been announced yet, but if any movement on it was going to be announced, 2018’s Power Morphicon would certainly be the place to do it. Hopefully, that won’t pass without some mention of a sequel, but fans will have to just wait and see.
Power Rangers currently has a 73.44 on ComicBook.com’s composite rankings, and you can find the official description below.
