Jason David Frank recently spoke about the Power Ranger reboot, including the new Tommy Oliver that was teased at the end of the film. There has been interesting in possibly making this version of Tommy a female, and as Frank told That Hashtag Show, he doesn’t seem to have much issue with it.

After giving the official “no comment” answer, Frank elaborated a bit more.

“I don’t like the answer, and it sounds really weird. I just wanna say one thing like I said before, which people can jump me about it, which is that for me, I said it before so I’ll probably get calls, the Green Ranger’s epic, and not just the Green Ranger because of who I was. I’ll say it again it doesn’t matter the skin, the color, the race, the girl, the females, whoever’s going to be inside that spandex is going to kick major butt, but I have to refer back to my comment.”

Whoever Tommy Oliver ends up being, fans are sure to embrace them with open arms.
