Few fan bases are as fervent as that of Star Wars, which rabidly consumes every detail they can get about the saga. If those details happen to center around a cute and cuddly creature, that’s even better.
Images of “porgs” debuted earlier this year, appearing as cute, bird-like creatures that spent time with Chewbacca. The excitement around the creatures grew even more passionate when Force Friday II debuted adorable collectibles featuring the creature, which were still relatively mysterious in regards to their involvement in The Last Jedi.

Last night, porg fans were primed to see if the new The Last Jedi trailer would feature new glimpses of the creature, only to get worked up in a frenzy after a porg was witnessed shrieking immediately after Chewbacca let out a roar.
The internet responded exactly as you imagined it would, making quips and memes to celebrate their love for porgs growing stronger.
