Star Wars fans, it is time you took a deep breath. If you are one of the many viewers who got hooked on Star Wars Rebels, then you are no doubt curious about the fate of Ahsoka Tano. In the show’s second season finale, fans were left with a massive cliffhanger about the character after Ahsoka went head-to-head against Darth Vader. As Anakin Skywalker’s former student, Ahsoka was ready to do her part in bringing the Sith down, but the last episode left fans uncertain about her fate.

Now, fans can rest a bit easier about Ahsoka. Earlier today, panels kicked off in earnest for Star Wars Celebration, and the co-creator of Rebels took part in the “Animated Origins & Unexpected Fates” talk. It was there that Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hidalgo gave an update about Ahsoka. Just as the duo said at the last Star Wars Celebration, the Jedi will return to Rebels – at some point.

According to Filoni, fans should not feel too assured about Ahsoka’s fate after the season two finale. The third season of Rebels came and went without any mention of the beloved character. Filoni did say he changed his plans which originally meant for Ahsoka to never reappear after season two ended. The creator went ahead and implied that Ahsoka’s long-awaited return will take place in season four, but fans have heard as much before.

On Saturday, fans are hoping to get more information about Ahsoka when the official Star Wars Rebel panel is held.

As for the actress behind Ahsoka, Ashley Eckstein is still hopeful that the heroine survived her encounter with Darth Vader. Speaking to ComicBook, the voice actress had this to say last year:

“In my opinion, and I don’t know the truth, but I think she’s alive,” Eckstein said. “There’s so much we don’t know. Seeing her walk into that temple, I’m really hopeful that we’ll get more of her someday in the future, and also get more from her past. With the Ahsoka novel coming out, we’ll get a glimpse at that.”
