The Walking Dead has set the standard in terms of the zombie genre, but it’s also found a way to create awesome relationships that fans love to see unfold.

For every good TV relationship though, there’s always a bad one. This is true of The Walking Dead, as it is of most TV shows.
Since it’s Valentine’s Day, we thought we’d take a look into some of the couples over the course of The Walking Dead. The content of the show isn’t exactly the happiest around, so we thought we’d breakdown the couples that don’t make people very happy either.
Click through the slideshow to check out the five worst couples from The Walking Dead.
Michonne And Her Pets
Richonneย is stronger than ever, but let’s not forget the warrior’s humble relationship beginnings.
When Michonneย first appeared, she was leading two arm-less walkers on chains behind her. The creatures supposedly kept other walkers from creeping up on her.
Come to find out, the walkers used to be Michonne’sย boyfriend, and his brother.
Talk about a broken relationship.

Abraham And Sasha
It’s not that Abraham and Sasha were bad together, not by a long shot. It’s actually quite the opposite.
Abraham and Sashaย made for a unique and intriguing couple, and they had plenty of reasons to find each other. The problem was that no one really believed in the strength of their love when it was all said and done.
The two were only together for a couple of episodes, and their love story seemed incredibly rushed. More focus was put on Abraham leaving Rosita, than Abraham loving Sasha.
When Abraham was killed, it was hard to believe Sashaย was the one who lost so much. They’d been on a couple of dates, no big deal. It would have been so much more importantย if their relationship was given more time.

Andrea And The Governor
This one doesn’t need much explanation, these two were just terrible together. Andrea was too smart to be deceived by the Gov’sย lies, and they just never seemed very compatible on-screen.
Comic fans were especially upset over this relationship, as Andrea was a part of some of the best couples in the comics. First with Dale, then with Rick.
ย
Carol And Ed
This one is no surprise, as Ed was literally one of the worst characters on the show. Not the worst in the sense of how he was written – because he did a lot for Carol’s story moving forward – but the character was just a terrible person.
Carol has become one of the most interesting characters on The Walking Dead, so it was good to see Ed out of the way.
ย
Carl And Enid
Some fans are shipping Carl and Enid pretty hard. Others aren’t exactly buying it.ย
The latter seems to have the bigger case.
In the comics, Carl had an on-again-off-again relationship with Sophia over the years. Since the show killed her off so early, an angsty-teenage romance was missing from the plot. In comes Enid.
While both characters are being developed well, and it would make sense for them to get together, the love story being crafted for them doesn’t make much sense. The reason Carl and Sophia worked is that they shared the ups and downs of growing up alongsideย one another. Carl and Enid don’t exactly have that.
