The character, played by Tom Payne on the AMC series, is getting his very own action figure from McFarlane Toys and ComicBook.com has an exclusive look.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the character, Jesus was introduced to The Walking Dead audience in season 6. He is a member of the Hilltop community, which is only beginning to scratch the surface of its role on the show, and all but a ninja with his swift agility and fighting skills.
Comic book fans have long awaited the arrival of the fan favorite character they came to know following his introduction in issue #91. Not only was his introduction slightly different, but another notable difference is his real name. On television, we’ve come to know Payne’s character as Paul Rovia while his comic book counterpart is named Paul Monroe.
The character carries an open and forgiving nature in both versions of the zombie drama, which helps him rise as a leader in the communities and eventually serve as Maggie’s right hand man when she emerges as the leader of the Hilltop.
The McFarlane Toys Jesus figure includes a pistol and a knife, a highly detailed sculpt of Tom Payne’s portrayal of Jesus, a sculpted outfit as seen on Season 6 of The Walking Dead, and stands 7 inches tall with multiple articulation points on a stylized display base.
The figure will price at $19.99. Check a full image below.
The Walking Dead returns for its seventh season on October 23 at 9 PM ET.
