NAME won the People’s Choice Award for favorite cable sci-fi/fantasy series tonight at the People’s Choice Awards in Hollywood.

The series beat out stiff competition from fellow nominees American Horror Story, Orphan Black, Shadowhunters, and Teen Wolf.
The award was not presented during the telecast tonight on CBS. It, along with a number of other awards, were released in a statement to the press following the two-hour broadcast.
The Walking Dead remains the most-watched drama on television in spite of a much-discussed drop in its average ratings in the first half of season 7. It was also nominated for favorite TV series but lost out to Outlander.
The People’s Choice Awards are voted on by fans at the Awards website.

The Walking Dead returns for the rest of its seventh season on February 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. Fear the Walking Dead‘s third season does not yet have a premiere date but with The Walking Dead finale set for April 2, expectations for Fear‘s return are set for April 9.
Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, this gritty drama portrays life in the weeks and months following a zombie apocalypse. Led by police officer Rick Grimes, his family and a group of other survivors find themselves constantly on the move in search of a safe and secure home. But the pressure each day to stay alive sends many in the group to the deepest depths of human cruelty, and Rick discovers that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be more deadly than the zombies walking among them.
