The Walking Dead: 5 Predictions For Season 7

Major spoilers ahead…

The Walking Dead season 7 premiere just blew everyone away with Abraham and Glenn dying and has now teed up a new era of how we view the show. Abraham and Glenn are gone now and Negan’s tidal wave of fury has catapulted us into an entire new perspective of how we view each character.

So what is coming next? There are so many questions that need to be answered in the coming episodes. The fate of our protagonists is scattered and we almost have guaranteed death ahead.

Here are five predictions for season 7 that could most definitely come true and evolve The Walking Dead into an even more diverse show than it ever has been.

Maggie Will Rise Above All

Spoiler alert: Glenn is dead. He is very dead. Negan hit a couple grand slams with Lucille on Glenn’s head, thus breaking Maggie to the point of madness. 

She (almost) now has nothing to lose and saw the love of her life get his head smashed in multiple times. She is out for blood and she will do whatever it takes to get revenge. 

Expect Maggie to become the new Rick, ladies and gentlemen. In the comics she was the leader of The Hilltop. Her strength showed at the conclusion of the premiere. Look for that trend to continue. 

Daryl Will Be The Season 7 Finale Death

Daryl was the death a lot of people were expecting to see tonight, but he lived. He is now a captive of the Saviors and who knows what is going to happen to him. Is he going to get cut up? Become one of Negan’s men? No. None of these. 

Daryl will be the season 7 finale death. Why? Following up to this kickoff episode and the season that ensues will be hard. A massive death will be needed to match the magnitude of the season opener. 

So yes, Daryl could meet Lucille for a date soon. 

Rick Is Officially Broken

This premiere episode was shown mainly from the POV of Rick and how he dealt with the deaths of his friends. Negan took him to the edge, kicked him over it, and then took him back and did it again.

The arm scene with Carl was enough to break us as viewers, much less Rick himself.

So what is to come with Rick’s new submissive role? He will be Negan’s pet for a while, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be planning his next move with Maggie. Think of him as a dormant volcano. He’s sleeping right now, but will explode down the line and it is going to be nasty. 

Robert Kirkman has already said that Rick will die, on the show, eventually. He is mentally out of it right now. How long until he is written out of it?

Carl And Negan Will Develop A Strange Relationship

Carl and Negan have a strange relationship in the comics, and the show seems to be angling it the same way. Negan knows that Carl is pure leverage. He can use him. He can mold him. It might take a while, but it is a possibility Negan knows exists. 

Bottom line, it will be the most unique relationship the show will have to offer since Negan could potentially be a strange second anti-father figure that Carl despises, but one day will understand. Do you think Carl will take to Negan?

Negan Will Become A God

The major theme that was echoed during this season premiere is that Negan is the man in charge and no one can do anything about that. 

He. Is. God.

From the first scene of the show, Negan owns every situation. He dominates Rick. Rick is simply a pet in Negan’s New World Order. One thing that we all must go forward with with The Walking Dead is that Negan is where the buck stops. No one else.
