All of those signs typically set a show like The Walking Dead up for another ratings boost. However, there was one giant obstacle facing the series this week.
The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament began on Thursday, and it consumed televisions for the majority of the weekend. March Madness has always brought in strong ratings, but this year’s event has broken viewer records.
In other words, The Walking Dead was facing its toughest opponent yet. However, the series definitely held its own.
10.3 million people tuned in this week, grabbing a 4.7 rating amongst adults ages 18-49. That’s only a slight dip from last week’s 10.6 million and 4.88 rating.
Overall, The Walking Dead has stayed steady throughout most of the season. After a drastic drop in the first couple of weeks, it seems like the show has found its stride. Here’s out the ratings look throughout all 14 episodes.
