The Walking Dead‘s baby has developed some impressive survival skills. They mostly consist of being quiet when zombies around, something most babies probably wouldn’t be able to pull off.
Nonetheless, the daughter of Rick Grimes has survived more than four seasons, now. Having been born in a prison, journeyed to Terminus, spent more than enough nights living on the road, and eventually landed at the Alexandria Safe-Zone, Judith has outlived the other kids in the apocalypse like Lizzie, Mika, Sam and Ron impressively.

If Judith is going to survive much longer, a young actress will have to be cast in the part as she grows up under Rick’s zombie-proof roof with her brother Carl. This would mean one actress who finally has lines would be the new baby of the apocalypse.
This actress would have the responsibility of taking over for 16 others, however.
Baby Judith has been played by eight pairs of twins over the years since she was born into The Walking Dead. The crew will swap the babies out of the scenes and replace them quite frequently, which Riggs has joked about in previous interviews, saying he will get attached to certain babies on set but can’t allow himself to because they’re so quickly replaced!
Some seasons uses multiple sets of twins while more recent seasons have made a pair last much longer as Judith grows up before the world’s eyes.
Season 3
Season 3 saw Baby Judith being brought into the world of The Walking Dead.ย Lori birthed her an Shane’s daughter, who would go on to be raised by Rick, on the floor of a prison before bowing out of the show herself. The first babies to play her were Adelaide & Eliza Cornwell.
A little known fact is that these twins were not the only members of their family to appear on the AMC series. In fact, their uncle played a Woodburyย survivor in the same season.
The Cornwell twins were not the only twins to play Judith in Season 3.ย
In Season 3 Episode 9, Loudyn and Leighton Case debuted as Judith for the rest of the season. Although they share credit, the twins’ mother says Loudynย played “95 percent” of the Judith scenes. In fact, the two girls are actually triplets and have two other siblings, Brody and Sienna.
Season 4
Season 4 brought a lot of twins into the mix.
The first were Tinsley and Annistonย Price. The young girls took over the role of Judith to start production of the fourth season and were able to portray the role through Episode 4×10. Since The Walking Dead, they have appeared in the Allegiant movie and Stranger Things on Netflix.
From here, Eleora and Eliseaย DiFrancoย took over for Judith to nab some of her best known appearances. Debuting in Episode 10 and running through Episode 14, the girls were featured in The Grove episode which is best known for Carol’s “look at the flowers” line.
Then came Sophia & Delia Oeland. The pair played Judith in the Season 4 finale which saw the group being rounded up into a train car at Terminus!
Season 5
Season 5 of The Walking Dead called in Charlotte & Clara Ward to play Judith.
The young actresses debuted as Judith in Season 5 Episode 1. While they were merely infants on the set of the AMCย series, theireย mother insists they loved being a part of the show and often like to play a game called, “zombie toddlers.”
Stepping in for the Wards later in Season 5 were Kiley and Jelynย Behun. They played Judith in the second half of the Season.
Season 6 & 7
Season 6 saw one set of twins take over the role of Judith and last for a couple of seasons, straight through the end of Season 7!
Chloe and Sophia Garcia-Frizziย crawled in for the part of Judith in Season 6 and stuck around for the seventh. With the actresses having grown up in the off-season, there is no word yet on whether or not the twins will reprise their role for Season 8 which recently began production or if a new set of twins will be taking over for them.
If The Walking Dead is to follow the comics and pull off the time jump story line which followed the war against Negan, the time will come to cast Judith as a young lady who can walk and talk!
