Winter isn’t coming for The Walking Dead but war is. In a new poster created by the show’s creative team, it’s a little bit of both.

Copying the style of the newly released Game of Thrones Season 7 posters, The Walking Dead shared a photo of Rick Grimes with the White Walker look in his eyes which has been applied to Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and other characters calling Essos home on the HBO series.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead and Season 7 of Game of Thrones will have similar themes. All of the build-up on both series will finally be paying off as war conquers the land and each group heads to battle with surprising allies and enemies.

The Walking Dead, however, will likely never see winter arrive as it has on Game of Thrones. Executive producer Greg Nicotero weighed in on the subject aboard the Walker Stalker Cruise this summer.

“I don’t know how we would pull it off,” Nicotero said. “I would love to do it. I know Scott [Gimple] would love to do it. The show is 52 weeks a year. To literally generate an in-between script and shoot in the winter, I don’t know how we would be able to pull it off even though I think it would be great. I think everybody would love to do it because it would be different. I would never wanna rule it out, but it’s tough because that would mean that in the middle of finishing episodes to air, we’d have to be writing another episode. Then you’d have to bring everybody back for a standalone which would be, probably, expensive.”
